Baptismal font consisting of an octagonal basin with rounded underbowl, the sides plain but the arrises on the underbowl are decorated with thin ribs with lanceolated tips; raised on an octagonal pedestal base with piping at the corners, and octagonal-to-square lower base with rolled leaves at 90-degree angles. The three parts of the font, basin, stem and base, appear ill-matched and may belong to different periods. The wooden cover is octagonal and flat, of the type that fits over the upper rim of the basin. An earlier cover must have had a side locking mechanism, as one side of the basin shows a square patch in the spot where fonts of this area have their locking anchors; there are other insert repairs around the upper rim of the basin. The church itself is noted in IGESPAR [www.igespar.pt/pt/patrimonio/pesquisa/geral/patrimonioimovel/detail/70556/] [accessed 6 April 2012] as belonging to the transitional period between Romanesque and Gothic.
