Suckling (1846-1848) writes: "The Church of St. Thomas was early appropriated to the Nunnery [i.e., the medieval Benedictine Nunnery], and being an appendage, probably fell with it. It was standing, and in use in 1500, but has been so long down, that its site is not exactly known. According to the Norwich Domesday Book, it paid an annual rent of £1. 8s. 1d. to the prior of St. Olave at Herringfleet."
