The Victoria County History (Wiltshire, vol. 13, 1987) notes: "12th-century church, called All Saints' from 1444 or earlier [...] In 1832 it was replaced by a new church designed in plain 12th-century style by J. B. Papworth." There is no mention of a font in the VCH entry for this parish. The entry for this church in the British Listed buildings [www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-321107-church-of-all-saints-chicklade] [accessed 8 February 2012] reports: "Plain C12 stone font bowl."
