Font Notes:
Noted and illustrated in the Palissy database [ref.: PM08000199] [www.patrimoine-de-france.org/uvres/richesses-29-9516.html] [accessed 6 January 2012] as a baptismal font of the 12th century made of blueish stone, with three human heads on the basin sides, and four stylised leaved on the angles of the base [="Cuve baptismale en pierre bleue ornée de trois têtes humaines. Quatre feuilles stylisées ornent les angles de la base."]. Noted and illustrated in Nival (2006). The three heads are the remaining ones of a set of four, located at 90-degree angles of the basin; the font has also lost the four outer colonnettes of the base, remaining only the broad central shaft; the lower base is square and has the lower bases of the missing colonnettes.
