A footnote in Gonzalez Gomez (1983) mentions that the Catálogo Arqueológico y Artístico de la Provincia de Sevilla (Sevilla, 1943. tomo II) illustrates a baptismal font dating from ca. 1500 from the parish church of Santiago el Mayor, in Castilleja de la Cuesta. The Parish web site [www.parroquiacastilleja.org/?page_id=17] [accessed 2 January 2012] reports a green glazed ceramic baptismal font of the 16th century [="Pila Bautismal del siglo XVI, realizada en barro verde vidriado, con decoración en relieve vegetal y antropomórfica"] in the baptismal chapel of the Parroquia de Santiago Apóstol.
