Church Notes: the IGESPAR entry for this church [www.igespar.pt/pt/patrimonio/pesquisa/geral/patrimonioimovel/detail/70509/] [accessed 29 December 2011] reports a pre-Romanesque monastery here by 949, and a collegiate church by the early-12th century
The present baptismal font in this church is modern, consisting of a roughly hemispherical basin decorated with deeply-cut and very large leaf motifs, raised on a square stem with mouldings and stylised foliage motifs. Plain round cover. [NB: we have no information on the medieval font here].
