The Infobretagne site [www.infobretagne.com/pouldouran.htm] [accessed 26 December 2011] and the Topic-Topos site [http://fr.topic-topos.com/baptistere-pouldouran] [idem] state that the double baptismal font here dates from the 13th century, a very unlikely dating given the type of font, most of which date from the late-15th or 16th centuries. It consists of two atached basins; the main basin is octagonal with a tall chamfered underbowl, raised on an octagonal pedestal base decorated with mouldings; the secodary basin is round and much smaller, raised on a circular moulded pedestal base. The main basin has a wooden octagonal cover decorated with graded mouldings.
