The Victoria County History (York North Riding, vol. 1, 1914) notes: "A church or chapel was in existence at High Worsall as early as 1204 [...] High Worsall chapel of ease was superseded by a new edifice on its site; it was constituted a parish church in 1719. [...] The [present] church of All Saints for High and Low Worsall is entirely modern, having been consecrated in 1894. The remains of the old church at High Worsall consist of a nave measuring about 24 ft. by 20 ft. built in 1710 from the fragments of an older chapel." [NB: the modern font from High Worsall is now, October 2010, in Low Worsall -- we have no information on the font of the medieval chapel here].
