Hussell (1910) notes that this church "is a building dating at least from 1311 [...] 'juxta pontem de Chepyngtoritone' [...] it was attached to a Leper Hospital which stood on the ground adjacent to it [...] The font is modern stone one". The British Listed Buildings database [http://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-91749-chapel-of-st-mary-magdalene-little-torrin] [accessed 20 December 2011] describes the modern font: "Late C19 octagonal Perpendicular style". [NB: the modern font is located in the nave, just west of the south entrance -- we have no information on the earlier font of this chapel].
