Font Notes:
Lyon (2011) informs that Henri Revoil signed a commission in February 1892 for a project of re-building the baptistery chapel and font; the drawings for the new font illustrate a font consisting of a hexagonal basin with a trefoiled arch-head on each side and supported by a central shaft and six outer colonnettes with capitals and bases; the inner well is round; the lower base also hexagonal. The previous baptismal chapel is saaid to date back to the 16th century [NB: we have no information on the earlier fonts of this church]. [NB: this same source (Lyon, 2011) shows an image of Cardinal Barbarin in the act of baptising an infant "lors des vigiles pascales"; the font he is using is a metal one, not the one by Revoil]
