A modern font or holy-water stoup stands in the church now [October 2011]; it consists of the vessel proper, round dark-marble basin with carved sides raised on a square baluster-type pedestal base, and a life-size angel leaning on it. This modern font (?) may be the work of, or influenced by, Bertel Throwaldsen (1770-1844), the Scandinavian sculptor, and date from ca. 1830 [NB: we have no information on the older font from the original church here].
