The present baptismal is modern, consisting of a roundf moulded basin with floral/foliage motifs on the sides and a ribbed underbowl, raised on a round pedestal base. The metal cover is round and almost flat; also modern. [NB: a church may have existed on the site since the 6th century, date of the foundation of the original abbey; we have no information on the medieval font(s) from this church].
