On-site notes: the present baptismal font here is modern: a small octagonal basin with plain sides tapering to a centre ring, resting of a slender octagonal pedestal base and a moulded lower base. The ornate wooden cover is of the rim-buffet type, octagonal in shape and profusely decorated; two see monsters at the sides, plus two winged fabulous animals below, to the right and left of the font; the alcove in which the font stands is framed and panelled in equally decorated wood, all of it 18th-century. [NB: there was a Romanesque church here in the 12th century, and there are remains of the Gothic building that replaced it in the 15th century; the present church is of the mid-17th century, but we have no information on the medieval font here].
