Font Notes:
There is an entry for this Kingston [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/SZ4781/kingston/] [accessed 19 February 2020] but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. The Victoria County History (Hampshire, vol. 5, 1912) notes: "The chapel of Kingston was built before 1251 [...] and remains much as it was built in the latter part of the 13th century"; the VCH entry does not mention a font. The registers of baptisms start in 1649. The church was rebuilt in the late-19th century. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SZ4788481299] notes: "Parish church. C13 origin"; no font mentioned here either. [NB: we have no information on the medieval font of this church].
