Baptismal font from the original church of St. Remigius, demolished in 1806; the original Romanesque font was then moved to the new St. Remigius', which had originally been a convent church of the Franciscan order. Thuis church in its turn was badly damaged in World War II, but the font survived; the church was restored in 1949. The baptismal font consists of a roughly hemispherical basin with a moulding at the upper rim, otherwise plain; raised on a pedestal base decorated with a simple moulding; both parts are of the same material, a coloured marble. The font cover is of a much later date; it appears to be made of metal, with floral and foliage decoration and a dove finial; it is raised by a counterweight system.
