The church dates from the early 13th century, having been consecrated in 1237 [cf. ChurchNotes]. The present baptismal font is of a later date, probably of the 16th or 17th century, made of granite; it consists of a roughly hemispherical basin raised on a moulded quadrangular pedestal base. The wooden cover, flat and round, locks on the side of the upper rim.
