Font Notes:
Baptismal font consisting of an octagonal basin with plain shallow sides and a tall underbowl; one of the sides shows four perforations in a square shape, perhaps made for the anchoring of the cover hasp; on an octagonal-to-square pedestal base decorated with four hemispheres or balls on the lower sides; the basin underbowl ends in a narrowing that matches the width and shape of the stem. There is damage to the upper rim, one of which sides has been repaired with a new-stone insert. The material of the stone appears to be granite. The church is said to have been built in the 13th century; the font may be of that period or, more likely, of the 14th or 15th century.
