Noted in Palissy [www.culture.gouv.fr/public/mistral/palissy_fr] [accessed 22 August 2011] [référence PM33000114], as a marble holy-water stoup of the first quarter of the 17th century, decorated with the emblem of Cardinal de Sourdis. On-si\te notes: the object consists of a round shallow basin decorated with a cherub head on the font, under the upper rim, the underbowl decorated with a striated pattern resembling ribs; raised on a baluster-type stem decorated with a coat of arms on the bulbous section [cf. supra]; the lower base is round-to-square; the tiny plinth is also square. The whole is made in a beige veined marble, and is located by the north entranceway leading from the transept.
