Font Notes:
No entry found for this Upham in the Domesday survey. The Victoria County History (Hampshire, vol. 3, 1908) notes: "The church (dedication unknown) has been so much repaired that it shows little appearance of age, but a small amount of thirteenth-century work remains. [...] Henry de Blois, bishop of Winchester (1129–71) made a grant of Upham advowson to the hospital of St. Cross, Winchester." There is no mention of a font in the VCH entry for this parish. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SU5383220588] mentions an "octagonal font" in it, without a date, but in the context of the Victorian interior. The present font is indeed modern, and probably Victorian, of roughly Perpendicular design. [NB: we have no information on its medieval font]
