There is an entry for Timsbury [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/SU3424/timsbury/] [accessed 11 September 2018] but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. An object located on the east side of the south porch of this church may be the upturned basin of a stone baptismal font [noted and illustrated by Chris Hayley, of Southern Life [www.southernlife.org.uk] [accessed 3 August 2011]]. The Victoria County History entry for Timsbury (Hampshire, vol. 4, 1911) does not mention this particular piece, although it does note a number of other stones that are thought to belong to the 13th-century church.
