No entry found for Greywell / Grewell in the Domesday survey. The Victoria County History (Hampshire, vol. 4, 1911) notes: "Greywell was originally a chapelry dependent on the church of Odiham [...], known to have existed before 1385 [...] The oldest part of the church is the nave, which is of the end of the 12th century [...] The font is of 15th-century date. It is octagonal with quatrefoil panels on the faces. The stem has been lost, and the bowl is placed on the moulded base, and stands under the tower arch."
