There is an entry for Lusby [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TF3367/lusby/] [accessed 27 July 2019]; it reports a priest and a church in it. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TF3402367937] notes: "Parish church. Cll, C12, C13, C15, altered and reduced c.1893 by Ewan Christian, early C20 narthex. [...] C19 round tub font with crossed quatrefoils." The present font consists of a cylindrical basin with carved cross(es) on the side, the underbowl with arrises; raised on a cylindrical pedestal base and a round moulded lower base. The wooden cover has a plain round platform with a small four-rib support and cross finial on top. Both the font and cover are modern replacements. The medieval church may go back to Domesday times; it was renovated in the late-19th century, from which time the modern font probably dates [NB: we have no information on the medieval baptismal font]
