The medieval church here was demolished in the mid-18th century and its masonry was used in the building of the present church; there was a major restoration of the latter in the late-19th century. The surviving baptismal font of the 18th-century re-building is baluster-shaped and decorated with mouldings; it is located at the west end of the nave, in the south bank of pews [NB: we have no information on the original font from the medieval church].
