N entry found for Wexham in the Domesday survey. Sheahan (1862) reports a piscina remaining on the "small, plain, ancient building" of the church, but does not mention a font in it. The Victoria County History (Buckingham, vol. 3, 1925) notes that the nave of this church "dates from the 12th century", but does not mention a font in it either. The present font consists of a ridiculously small round stone basin raised on a thick pedestal base; it is located at the west end of the nave, beneath the window. [NB: we have no information on the original medieval font].
