A font or large stoup located outside the cathedral, against one of the outer walls; consists of a roughly hemispherical basin decorated with a broad flat moulding at the upper rim, and a pattern of concave ribs all around the sides and underbowl; the base is a cross shaped set of four thick scroll ribs; the whole appears to be made of course granite. It may have been one of the large stoups sometimes located at the entrance of very large or important churches.
