The site of the Comune di Vicopisano [www.comune.vicopisano.pi.it] notes two holy-water stoups; one is located to the right of the main entrance [cf. Index entry for Vicopisano No. 1 for the other stoup in this church]; it is a composite object made up of an almost spherical basin carved from an Etruscan marble, raised on an inverted Roman capital of Corinthian design, and a poligonal lower base that appears modern. We have no information on the period when the object was put together.
