This font may be a composite arrangement; the hemispherical basin has been repaired and may have been re-cut as well; the repairs appear to have dealt with damage to the upper rim, perhaps related to the staples of the old cover; the base is rather incongruous and of a later date, althouth the underbowl of the basin may have been re-cut to match its top. The wooden cover is plain, round and flat, hinged at the middle.
