Lipscomb (1831- ) notes: "The font is ancient, with a circular bason on a short round column." In Sheaham (1862), after Lipscomb. Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a Norman font. The Victoria County History (Buckingham, vol. 4, 1927) notes: "The nave, dating from early in the 14th century, is the oldest part of the church [...] The church of Grandborough was held with the manor by the abbey of St. Albans. In 1291 it is mentioned as a chapel appurtenant to the church of Winslow"; there is no mention of a font in it. [NB: unless this is the font noted as Norman in Cox & Harvey (1907), we have no information on the font from the medieval church]
