Holy-water stoup consisting of a square basin with scalloped sides raised on a cylindrical pedestal base and a round-to-square lower base; the basin sides are decorated with acanthus (?) branches or vines inside the scallops, and triquetra symbols in the spandrels, and has a roll moulding below; the cylindrical base is as wide as the basin, and decorated with a blind arcade of round arches on columns with capitals and bases all around, and with triquetra (?) symbols in the spandrels; below the arcade is a rope moulding' the lower base is round at the top, with a rope moulding thicker below a scotia, the four sides of the square lower end marked with spurs at the angles, as if holding the rope motif in place. It appears Romanesque, or in that style [NB: the church itself dates from the mid-12th century]. The entry for this church in Palissy [ref.: IM68005568] actually mentions two stoups in this church: "2 bénitiers [...] 12e siècle (?) [...] One of the two stoups is llustrated in Mémoire [ref. no. IVR42_94680274XA]
