Sáenz Rodríguez (2004) notes that the 12th-century monastery or church of San Miguel, in the upper quarter of this village was demolished in 1940; now only a few ruins remain but this author refers to several sources which could account for an old font among them not long ago; the font was apparently footless; unfortunately there is no information on its present whereabouts of this font.
