The Archaeologia cambrensis (issue no. 32, October 1877: 329) reports on the excursion of members of the Cambrian Archaeological Association to "the interesting old church of Abererch" and note "the rude font" therein. [NB: the fabric of the church is said locally to go back to the early-11th century, and there may have been a religious building here since the 7th, but we have no indication of the present font therein].
