Baptismal font made of bronze by Michel Dibler in 1588 [cf. inscription]; the basin is bucked-shaped, with the characterisc campaniform shape of the vessels prioduced by bell-makers; raised on four seated lions; the sides of the basin contain six round arches inscribing scenes from the Passion of Christ; the scenes are not in sequential order in either direction; around the upper basin sides is a German inscription in three lines; on the lower basin side another inscription that includes the year of fabrication of the font, 1588; raised on four rampant lions. [NB: further details of the inscription to be done]. The cover is flat and locks via a metal bar across the basin top to two human (?) heads at 180-degrees on the upper rim.
