A large modern (1930s?) font made of marble, cylindrical and with a large deeply carved freeze depicting the Baptism of Christ. The large bronze cover is a low dome, with carved top and ring handles, orb-and-cross finial. The font and cover are both sumptuous works, in the tradition of monumental religious sculpture.
