The entry for this church in COFLEIN [https://www.coflein.gov.uk/en/site/102152/details/st-cynogs-church-llangynog] [accessed 25 January 2020] reports two fonts in it, but not the original Norman one: "The octagonal font was presented by Miss Lloyd of Laques in 1850. [...] A second font, decorated with carved foliage, dates to 1902. [...] In the medieval period St Cynnog's was a chapelry of Llanstephan [...] By 1833 Llangynog was a parish. [...] The nave is thought to date to the thirteenth century, and has a blocked west door. [...] The church was restored in 1876-1878". The CPAT entry for this church [http://www.cpat.demon.co.uk/projects/longer/churches/montgom/16482.htm] [accessed 25 January 2020] notes: "The church is first mentioned as 'Ecc'a de Lankenant' in the Norwich Taxation of 1254 [...]. In Pope Nicholas' Taxation of 1291 it appears as 'Ecclia de Langenank' [...] Virtually nothing is known about its history and development until the end of the 18thC. A new church was erected in 1791", and confirms: "The furnishings and fittings are all 19thC". The entry for this church in British Listed Buildings [https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/300081047-church-of-st-cynog-llangynog] [accessed 25 January 2020] confirms the presence of a modern font in it.
