The RCAHM (Montgomery, 1911) reports "a modern structure erected in 1863-4, on the site of the earlier church; even the font was replaced by a new one upon the old base." The CPAT Montgomeryshire Churches Survey Project [www.cpat.demon.co.uk] reports a font that survived the 1862 re-building of the medieval church.
