Noted and illustrated in Williams (1886), who describes it as "very early"; this source also reports that "the font was re-erected on a new base" at the time of the 1860 restoration of the church. The RCAHMW (Montgomery, 1911) notes: "The font is circular, and probably ancient, perhaps of the 13th century; the base is modern."
