Baptismal font consisting of two almost identical -but mirror-like- octagonal basins on octagonal pedestal bases; the basins are decorated with mouldings towards the top, and a foliage and beaded-tale combination on the lower sides and underbowl; raised on twin plain slender shafts. The inner wells of both basins are not exactly round but have an indentation that creates a gap between the basins and are both lined with metal [copper?]. [NB: the church of St. Michael has it labelled as a double font [="Doppeltaufstein"] even though it has the appearance of a double stoup -- the church has a second font: cf. Index entry for Bollendorf No. 2]]
