The inventory of the RCAHM (Montgomery, 1911) entry for this church notes of its 20th August 1909 visit: "The font is modern; an earlier font, of 15th century date, serves as a flower pot in the churchyard, and is suffering from exposure to the weather." A footnote added later reads: "Since the above was written information has been received that a still earlier font has been discovered in the parish, and that arrangements are being made for its restoration to the church" [NB: the printing date of this volume is 1911]. Reported in the CPAT Montgomeryshire Churches Survey Project [www.cpat.demon.co.uk] as a "stone font at the west end of the north aisle". [NB: the church fabric dates to the early 13th century]
