The CPAT Survey entry for this church [www.cpat.demon.co.uk/projects/longer/churches/montgom/32576.htm] notes: "The church is recorded in the Norwich Taxation of 1254 under the diocese of St Asaph." [NB: we have no information on the medieval font]
