The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 14 February 2021] notes: "La iglesia, dedicada a la Asunción de Nuestra Señora, es renacentista [...] la pila es románica con arcos rústicos". Noted in Valle Barreda (2009). Baptismal font of the Romanesque period decorated with a row of round arch-heads and a pattern of ribs below. The base of the font looks suspiciously like a plain upside-down hemispherical basin re-used as base. There is no cover present now but two metal staples remain in the upper rim from an old cover.
