Scene Description: though identified in some sources as Daniel, this is more likley Samson slaying a pair of lions, though they are winged!

Wall-mounted holy-water stoup decorated with a chase scene in which a dog pursues another quadruped, possibly a rabbit or hare [though the latter resembles more a pig!]; below, a pointed arch. [NB: it is labelled as 'leppers stoup', so it was probably meant to be used exclusively by leppers, who were not allowed to use the main entrance and the regular stoups; these specially-designated stoups -for leppers, cagots, etc.] are fairly common in the Bearn, Bigorre, etc., areas of the Pyrenees]. [cf. Index entry for Oloron-Sainte-Marie No. 2 for the font of this church].
