The present font is modern, a square block decorated with a plain carved cross. An earlier font from the late 17th century [ca. 1674?] had been made by Marcus Jaeger, who worked on other furnishings [NB: the current cathedral building is the third in this site and dates from the early 19th century; we have no information on the whereabouts of the 17th-century font, or of the earlier ones]
