B06: Apostle or saint - kneeling - haloed - holding up object

Scene Description: the haloed figure faces the arch to the right, in which sits Christ in majesty; the kneeling figure holds up an object that is easily identified: a chalice? a building? on the right side of the head there appears to be a long flock of hair, suggesting perhaps a feminine figure. Besides Christ it is the only haloed figure (not even Peter and Michael have haloes). Is it the Virgin? Ecclesia?

Font Notes:
Noted in Hallbäck (1971-1972). Described in Dahlberg (1998: 112) as a baptismal font of unknown origin now in the Göteborg Museum; it is believed to have originated somewhere in the central regions of Västergötland; its basin is ornamented with and arcade of six arches containing figural motifs, similar to the ones on the Kestad font [cf. Index entry for Kestad]. Described and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920901F3] as a sandtone baptismal font of the second half of the 12th century. On-site notes: stone baptismal font of unknown origin, thought to be from the area of Skara, in the Västergötland region of southwest Sweden, now in the custody of the Göteborgs stadsmuseum. Only the original cylinrical basin remains; the iconographic programme develops inside an arcade of six round arches supported on single circular columns with capitals and bases;: 1)Majestas domini; Christ with rayed halo has right hand raised in benediction, the left on his lap holding a book; 2)St. Peter standing dressed in priestly clothes and holding up two large keys in his right hand, the left holding a bishop's staff; 3) standing figure holding scales (?) in his rights hand, a stick (?) in his left, not the usual sword, but an object resembling a crutch (?); 4)a male figure on the left, wearing a sword is hugged by a caped woman in a tall hat [cf. Simris font?]; 5)a human figure (male?) stands on the right, part of its left side behing a cape or mantle on which stands a small quadruped (sacrifice? Isaac?); 6)a haloed figure kneells with the body facing to the right, but the head turned full fron, holding up an object (chalice? building?); behind the figure is a tall plant or tree. All around the bottom, except wehere broken off, is a thick rope moulding. There is some damage to the font, especially around the bottom. The inner basin well is not lined; it has a central drain hole. There is no base, although, given the dimensions of the basin, it would have had one originally. There is no font cover, but there are traces of cover hardware in the damage showing at opposite ends of the upper basin rim.
