Font Notes:
Baptismal font consisting of a square basin raised on a pedestal base. Located at the west end of the nave. [NB: the fabric of the church goes back to the mid-12th century]. A communication [e-mail of 25 October 2010] from Laurie Gaymer informs: "The font at St. Andrews' South Shoebury is a Victorian 'copy' of a plain medieval style, perhaps perpendicular. It is square with a plain flat oak cover. The font at St. Peter's, South Shoebury is Victorian round, and has no cover." [NB: St. Peter's is a modern church]
