On-site notes: besides the medieval stone font, there is one other object in this church that may have been used for baptisms: it consists of a square wooden basin that supports a round lead basin; the lead basin is very worn and bears an inscription of Mark 16:16 baptism-related text ["He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned"] in German; the wooden basin below is square, with the angles chamfered, giving it an octagonal shape on the upper half; the inner part of the basin has no significan depth, its function only to support the lead basin; there is a moulded centre ring also of chamfered square shape; the lower half of the object splays to a square lower end; both underbowl and base are adorned with large carved leaves.
