The font is described, and its inscription studied, in Wiborg (1846); illustrated with an engraving by Finn Magnusen. Noted and illustrated in Danmarks Kirker (Praesto Amt, 1933-1935) with an inscription on the basin sides that identifies "Bondo Friso" [Bonde Friser] as the artesan who made it, and Esgerus Røth [Esger Rød] as the person who commissioned the font. On-site notes: the font consists of an almost cylindrical basin with a rounded underbowl, raised on a conical base with a thick ring moulding; the sides of the basin have an incised arcade with supports on every other arch, and an inscription in Latin and Runes occupying several arches; the others contain a Tree of Life (?) and floral motifs; the round-to-octagonal base has incised motifs as well. There is some damage to the upper rim, but it does not seem to be related to cover hardware; there is no cover. The basin well has no drain.
