Church Notes: The church is said to have been founded by Sancho Ramirez ca. 1070/1080; later a priory church -- This is a confusing church because, as Garcia Omedes notes [http://www.romanicoaragones.com/0-Jacetania/71-Lasieso2.htm] [accessed 11 September 2019], it is made up of two yuxtaposed churches, as well as a 18thC re-building when an abbey was added to it/them
One of two ancient fonts found now inside this church; this one, found at the southwest end of the nave; it consists of a plain hemispherical raised on a plain circular pedestal base; there is a metal staple in the upper rim, and a cut-off square on the upper basin side, where the lock of the old cover would have fitted; it is now plugged with a piece of wood. [cf. Index entry for Lasieso No. 2 for another early font kept now in this church]
