There are four entries for Goldhanger [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TL9008/goldhanger/] [accessed 14 October 2020] none of which mentions a cleric or church in it, although one of the parts was in the lordship of Wulfward the priest in 1066. The British Listed Buildings website [http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-118861-church-of-st-peter-goldhanger] [accessed 30 June 2010] notes: "C11 chancel and nave [...] C19 stone octagonal font. Moulded bases and shafts. Foliate carvings between trefoiled heads." [NB: we have no information on the medieval font]
