Illustrated in the Deanery Church of St. Mary website [http://www.stmarys-bocking.co.uk] [accessed 15 June 2010]: the font consists of an octagonal basin decorated with floral motifs in quatrefoils, in pairs on the sides, a decorated underbowl and a traceried stem. Octagonal wooden cover with eight low ribs converging in a centre pivot. The font is in a popular Perpendicular style, but appears modern. [NB: the fabric of the church goes back to the 14th century, but we have no information on the earlier font]
