The 22 December 2009 issue of the 'Norte de Castilla' on-line news [http://fotodenuncias.nortecastilla.es/2009/12/22/robo-de-pila-bautismal-romanica/] [accessed 13 June 2010] reports this font stolen from the church; the news was accompanied by en earlier photograph of the font inside the abandoned church. An article in the 23 January 2010 edition of 'Diario Palentino' [www.diariopalentino.es/noticia.cfm/Local/20100123/] [accessed 13 June 2010] reports that a band of local art thieves was apprehended by the Guardia Civil; among the recovered objects was the baptismal of San Jorde de Ojeda. The font is a bucket-shaped basin that appears totally plain; it has damage to the upper rim; it is plain font. After its recovery the font was moved to the Museo Diocesano de Palencia, where it awaits its future fate and/or destination. The church has been abandoned for many years -at least since the 1970s- and is in ruins.
